George Kronnisanyon Werner
George Kronnisanyon Werner served as Liberia's Minister of Education from 2015 to 2018. Following his tenure, he has been involved with philanthropic organizations and has provided counsel to former President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf in her capacity as co-chair of the Independent Panel for Pandemic Preparedness and Response and the UN High Level Advisory Board on Effective Multilateralism. Presently, Werner holds the Senior Education and Partnerships Advisor position at the Digital Skills Foundation. Prof. Joseph Ghartey Ampiah is a Professor of Science Education at the University of Cape Coast, where he has taught courses in science education, qualitative research and ethnographic research in science education since 1996. He has been a professional teacher since 1987. Wee Tiong SEAH is Professor in Mathematics Education at The University of Melbourne, and co-leader of the Mathematics, Science and Technology Education academic group at the Melbourne Graduate School of Education. His work in initial teacher education and in-service professional development draws on an extensive professional experience in mathematics teaching and pastoral care across educational settings in Singapore and Australia. Wee Tiong’s research interests include the harnessing of motivational constructs (e.g. values) to improve mathematics education, including the fostering/maintenance of mathematical wellbeing. He is Founding Director of a 22-nation research consortium called the Third Wave Lab. Over the last decade or so, Wee Tiong has also been invited to present some 30 research keynote addresses. He is currently the Editor for the Mathematics Education Research Journal, and sits on the editorial boards of 12 academic/research journals worldwide. Wee Tiong is or has been a member of international and Australian government Expert Advisory Groups. Examples include the Australian ‘Literacy and Numeracy Test for Initial Education’ [LANTITE], the Australian federal government Expert Advisory and Research Group, and the Board of Trustees of the International Group for the Psychology of Mathematics Education. He consults and workshops for education departments, schools and other educational institutions.
