Call for Abstracts ICERDA Conference 2023
The Organising Committee of the International Conference on Education Research for Development in Africa (ICERDA) is calling for abstract submissions.
To present your research at the conference, please submit an abstract for peer review. After your abstract has been accepted and registration fees paid, your place at the conference will be confirmed. If you require financial assistance to present at the conference, please look out for a bursary scheme being set up to offer support towards travel and accommodation.
Abstract of papers describing original work are invited in any of the Sub-themes. There is also the option for poster presentations. The best abstracts will be selected for the maiden journal of the conference.
Authors will be asked to indicate their interest to submit a paper in the conference journal. Invitations for papers will be sent to selected authors.
Key Deadlines:
Submission of Abstracts: Monday, 29th May 2023
Final Notification of Acceptance: Friday, 30th June 2023
Presenters/Early Bird Registration: Friday, 21st July 2023
Submission of Power Point Presentation: Friday, 1st September 2023
Note:
If you submit early and your abstract is identified as having scope for further development, a peer reviewer will give feedback for revision. You will then be able to resubmit within the deadline for re-consideration.
Please note that there will be a one-time presentation rule. Whilst you can be a named author or contributor on several submissions, you can only present once.
For abstract submission, please provide:
Title of the paper. This should indicate what the paper is about.
Name, email address, title and institution/organisation of each author.
Name of the Sub-theme to which you are submitting.
Key words between 3 and 5 written beneath the abstract.
Word count (not exceeding 300 words).
For abstracts based on empirical research, please indicate the following clearly:
a. Purpose of the paper
b. Research objectives and/or research questions/hypothesis
c. Summary of the methodology
d. Key findings
e. Recommendations
For abstracts other than empirical research, please indicate the following clearly:
a. Purpose of the paper
b. Underpinning theory/concepts
c. Conclusions
d. Implications/recommendations for policy/practitioners
There is also the opportunity for poster presentations. Please indicate whether your abstract is for a paper presentation or a poster presentation.
